
2010-2011 Band Trip Announced:
The band will continue its tradition of taking a trip every 4 years. The “plan”, while still in process is to depart Thursday, March 17th, 2011 for Washington DC via motorcoach. The return date is Tuesday, March 22nd around lunchtime. This will coincide with Spring Break. Estimated cost is $670.00 per person. A Trip Meeting will be held on Monday, June 7th at 7:30 PM for all who are interested. Please do not call or ask for specific information until that time as the planning process is in the early stages. Student Account Fundraisers and other Fundraising Opportunities will be available to help everyone raise the funds needed to attend. Information will be posted on the band website patriotband.org as it is made available after the preliminary meeting in June.

Please see Senior information above. If you are a returning band student and have outgrown your attire, you may swap the item for another, if that item is available at our Patriot Closet that will be open at a date/time to be determined later (sometime during band camp).

Immortalize Yourself...
The band is offering you and your student a
special opportunity to forever "immortalize yourself" by purchasing
a block of granite to be placed on the walls outside the band room
with your student/family name or special message.
The granite bricks are 7 7/8 inch x 4 inch and the cost is $50.00 per brick. The
proceeds from this event will go towards renovation projects for the LBHS
auditorium in support of the various arts programs.
The band is hoping to make this a yearly tradition, offering this program
two times per year.
All bricks purchased at this time will be installed by June 30th.
Join us in building the Band "wall of memories" and preserving
the history of our program. This would be a great tribute to our graduating
seniors and their families, as well as our outstanding band program.

Outreach Request, Jesse Olsen:
Debbie Olsen, mother of Jesse Olsen, a freshman band member, is seriously ill. Debbie is a long time, loyal, dedicated substitute and has touched the lives of many students and staff at LBHS. A trust account has been set up by LBHS. Photos:
Photos taken throughout the year by our photography committee will be on sale 30 minutes prior to the concert and award ceremony held May 20th/21st. The cost will be $.50 per photo. All proceeds benefit the band.
Volunteers Needed:
We are currently putting together our volunteer chair positions for next year. If you are interested in heading up or assisting with our Green Concession Stand during home football games or our Luminary Fundraiser please contact Mary Cannon at mcannon8@cfl.rr.com. Both of these opportunities can be shared with another person and are for a limited time only. If you can give the band a few short weeks of your time, it would be greatly appreciated.
